Geology is the science that studies the Earth.
Knowing the formation and evolution of our planet, as well as the phenomena that occur in it from the simple observation of the rocks and the landscape, is available to anyone who feels is curiousity to know the natural environment we live in.
We always try to be very scrupulous with the treatment that is given to the natural areas visited. A protocol of respect for the environment must always be followed. Places of geological richness are visited that, on a time scale, go beyond the Jurassic period (many millions of years take these places to form).
In addition to geology, it is also about showing the environmental sustainability of the visited area, and how climate change influences it. Some aspects related to its historical - sustainable development are also explained.
ROUTES
Route on the surroundings of the Nalón River Basin
Visit the strategic points of the area in a brief geological and sustainable panoramic tour. 2 hours of very interesting tour to get a global idea of the space in which you are.
From 9:00 a.m. in the morning 2:00 p.m. - For groups of 4 people or more.
Half day (9: 00h -14: 00h. Or 15: 00-21: 00h.):
ORIGIN - WESTERN COAST (Coastal Geology) - CONCHA DE ARTEDO (Sustainability) - MUROS DE NALÓN (Mouth of the Nalón River) - RETURN TO ORIGIN. 45 euros / person.
ORIGIN - SAN ESTEBAN DE PRAVIA (River cruise and Climate Change) - MUROS DE NALÓN (Coastal Geology) - MONTEAGUDO - RETURN TO ORIGIN. 65 euros / person.
Includes a small lunch at the end of the excursion before the return.
Full day, food included (9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. approx.):
ORIGIN - NAVIA HISTORICAL PARK (Route of waterfalls and hydraulic mills) - picnic - WESTERN COAST (Geology in the mountain area) - RETURN TO ORIGIN.
ORIGIN - NAVIA HISTORICAL PARK (Hydraulic mill and cave-waterfall) - picnic - WESTERN COAST (Geology in the coastal area) - RETURN TO ORIGIN (Through the mountainous interior).
ORIGIN - SAN ESTEBAN DE PRAVIA (River cruise and climate change) - MUROS DE NALÓN (menu) - MONTEAGUDO - WESTERN COAST (Coastal geology) - RETURN TO ORIGIN.
This activity takes place throughout the year in groups of 4 to 7 people.It is recommended, due to the logistics involved in this activity, to book two days in advance, or to consult to enjoy excursions with less than 4 people or changes in the program (custom program).
All the excursions are carried out in a 9-seater transport vehicle, although due to the Covid-19 situation, it will be occupied with a maximum of 8 places including the seat of the director of the activity. All tours start at the pick-up point and end at the same point.
